The easiest alloy to cast, it offers high ductility, high impact strength, and is easily plated. Zinc is economical to cast, has a low melting point and promotes long die life.
Zamak 3: The most widely used zinc alloy. It offers the best combination of mechanical properties, castability, and economics. It can produce castings with intricate detail and excellent surface finish at a high production rate.
ZA-8: The higher aluminum and copper content gives ZA-8 the advantage of having the highest strength of any hot-chamber zinc alloy, along with superior wear & creep resistance
