Since 1979, Wilkast has been a leader in providing precision and cosmetic aluminum and zinc die castings. We serve customers in the automotive, motorcycle, office furniture, appliance, and agriculture industries. In addition to our cast and trim operations, we have in-house capabilities for CNC machining, light assembly, and polishing/sanding of cast parts. We provide program management and various applied finish services, and ship products throughout North America and to Asia.
The easiest alloy to cast, it offers high ductility, high impact strength and is easily plated. Zinc is economical to cast and has a low melting point, and promotes long die life.
Some of the more typical applications for zinc and ZA alloy die castings are: the electronics industry, hardware, plumbing fixtures, automotive products, motorcycle hardware, parts for the lighting industry, hand and power tools, and sporting goods.
This alloy is lightweight, while possessing high dimensional stability for complex shapes and thin walls. Aluminum has good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, high thermal and electrical conductivity, as well as strength at high temperatures.
Aluminum die castings are important components of products like automobiles, computers, washers, dryers, refrigerators, furnaces and even toys. Parts can be as simple as a faucet handle or as complex as a transmission housing.
Just about any feature can be machined into base castings with our seven 3, 4 or 5-axis CNCs, purpose-built standalone machines, or contracted to local suppliers so that the part is ready to install or assemble when it reaches your facility.
